Building lasting habits

Many of you have been struggling with building a lasting habit. Be it your workplace, home or in relationships, good habits are appreciated everywhere and reflects on one's character.

Below are few myths around creating a habit:
  1. Building a good habit requires lots of stress and effort.
  2. Habits are not sustainable
  3. Habits cannot be tracked. 

Do try the following when trying to build a good habit.

  1. Make habits easy by dividing into small bits. E.g. Write only 1 page, Exercise for only 5 mins.
  2. Stack habits one after the other. E.g. After waking up make coffee and after that study.
  3. Make habits attractive. E.g. Reward yourself if you are able to save an expense or have written 2 pages.
  4. Make the habits fulfilling. It will motivate you to repeat. 
  5. Don't break your habit 2 days in a row. 
  6. Track only few important habits and let it internalise. Try the various apps on playstore. A simple spreadsheet will do the work as easily.
